Dominic Saksa

A junior computer engineering student with a strong foundation in problem-solving, programming, and systems design, actively seeking opportunities to apply and grow these skills in real-world engineering environments.

Background

Since I was a child I have always been fascinated by theme parks and roller coasters. Once I hit the age of 10 I began to design these theme parks virtually in games like Roller Coaster Tycoon. During high school, these designs became more serious and focused on realism and accuracy. I pushed my creative abilities with new designs and kept adding more details. Alongside developing these virtual metropolises, I was fascinated by computer hardware and software. I spend much of my time tinkering with programs such as Blender and Unity. Going into college and wanting to pursue my dream job, I decided computer engineering would allow me to work toward that industry and incorporate my love of programming and technological hardware.

Now I want to utilize my programming skills in C++ and Python, along with my unrelenting attention to detail and collaborative spirit, to make my dreams a reality.
